Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:09 PM Friday to a multiple injury crash near Quentin Road and Euclid Avenue Palatine, IL. Rescuers received a report that a car and SUV were involved in a crash with at least one person unresponsive and trapped in a vehicle. Upon arrival firefighters reported one vehicle with heavy damage up against a guard rail. A firefighter/paramedic crew also reported heavy extrication.
Early report that at least four victims were injured — not confirmed.
Victims include a female, age 19, who was extricated from a vehicle at about 5:25 pm.
One victim unknown gender/age was transported to Northwest Community Hospital
One victim, male, age 10, was transported to a hospital.
One male/adult victim was extricated about 5:32 pm and transported with serious injuries to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
Rolling Meadows and Palatine Rural firefighter/paramedics assisted Palatine firefighters. A nurse was also on scene helping victims at the crash.
Euclid Avenue was blocked in both directions during rescue operations.
