Arlington Heights police responded about 9:15 AM Monday to a report of a retail theft suspect detained at Kohl’s, 800 West Dundee Road Arlington Heights, IL 8. 8:31 p.m.
Police and loss prevention personnel identifed a retail theft suspect as Jeanette. L Miranda, age 35, of 1300 N Winslowe, Palatine.
Police received a report that loss prevention watched the alleged retail theft suspect take merchandise and leave store without paying.
The items placed in her purse had a total value of $164.
Items taken from the store included …
a Trifari stone bracelet. valued at $32;
a Chaps teal bracelet, valued at $24;
Chaps teal stone earrings, valued at $24;
Angels dark blue jeans, valued at $40;
and Angels light blue jeans. valued at $44.
At one point Miranda allegedly stopped outside the women’s changing rooms, and ripped off sensors and price tags.
The crime is reported to have occurred Friday, February 8, 2013 at 8:31 p.m.
During investigation, the suspect gave a false name. She was charged with misdemeanor retail theft and obstruction of justice for false identification.
Court date is March 28, 2013.
