Arlington Heights police received a report Tuesday of a theft at the Napleton Auto dealership under construction at 1155 W. Dundee Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders removed 15 mortar board stands valued at $42 each ($630 total value) from a construction site. An unsecured chain link fence surrounds the site. The mortar boards are made of tube steel. Mortar board stands hold mortar boards, which holds mortar during bricklaying and other construction tasks.
The crime is reported to have occurred between Thursday February 14, 2013 at at 3:30 p.m. and Tuesday February 26, 2013 at 7:00 a.m.
