Multiple burglaries have been reported this past week in Arlington Heights and Mount Prospect — mostly on the south side of town.
Starting on February 13, 2013 and continuing through February 16, 2013 Mount Prospect burglaries have been reported in an area bordered by Central Road, Golf Road, Main Street (Route 83), and Meier Road.
In Arlington Heights, three residential burglaries occurred in the 1300 block of South Walnut Avenue and and the 1300 block of South Ridge Avenue — one street over — on Saturday February 16, 2013.
In three of the Arlington Heights cases on the south side, burglars forcibly entered rear doors, and the offender(s) threw drawers on the floor and left with pillow cases– apparently filled with items. Offenders went through armoires, dresser drawers, nightstands, hutches, and in one house removed a safe that was bolted to the floor.
Also in Arlington Heights, a burglary occurred on the North side of town in the block of 2500 North Hickory Lane — just west of Camelot Park — was reported on February 16, 2013.
Police in Mount Prospect urge citizens with any information about the burglaries to call the Mount Prospect Police Department at (847) 870-5654 or the Crime Stoppers line at (847) 590-7867.
