Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:38 PM Sunday of a house fire in the block of 600 East Thornhill Lane Palatine, IL. Firefighters received a report of a house fire with fire coming out of a second floor window. On arrival firefighters reported a working fire and that a home office was well-involved. Interior crews quickly reported a good knock on the fire after forcible entry into the home. Primary and secondary searches were reported with no residents in the house.
Firefighters reported the fire was contained to the home office with no extension to the attic. Neighbors assisted firefighters — determining that the residents were home at time of the fire. The residents were also contacted by neighbors, and quickly returned home.
The fire was reported out by 11:51 AM. Long Grove firefighters stood by in a Palatine fire station while Palatine firefighters worked at the fire scene.
