A Georgia man says he is proud of his wife for protecting her family during a home invasion. Police say the suspect, Paul Ali Slater, is currently hospitalized and is being charged with burglary.
A Loganville, Georgia mom hid her two 9-year-old twins, and shot an intruder, Paul Ali Slater, five times during a home invasion on Friday. Slater is reported to have broken through three doors before he got near the mom and her two children.
The Loganville mom called her husband after the intruder started knocking on the door about 1:00 p.m. Friday. The mom called her husband and took the children to a crawlspace. Her husband called police, while the intruder began to rummage through the house. Slater approached the closet where the three were hiding, and was shot five time in the face and neck. He was able to flee to his SUV, which he crashed in a nearby wooded area.
