The Arlington Heights Garden club will have a program called “Pruning Shrubs and Small Trees: Why, How, When and Where Not.” You will learn how to prune thoughtfully for beautiful, healthy shrubs and small trees with less work. Beth Botts will teach you how to do dormant pruning and get your shrubs and small trees ready for spring. The meeting held on Monday, February 18, 2013 begins at 7:00 p.m. with the speaker, Beth Botts, beginning at 8:00 p.m. The Arlington Heights Garden Club meeting takes place at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library. 500 N. Dunton Avenue, second floor in the Hendrickson Room.
Beth Botts is a garden writer and speaker with a well known Chicagoland blog, “The Garden Beat.” Beth appears frequently on the Mike Nowak Show radio program. She’s written extensively as an editor and reporter for The Chicago Tribune and as a freelance writer for magazines such as Organic Gardening, Chicagoland Gardening and The American Gardener. She does her own gardening in a leafy suburb on the edge of Chicago.
