Storm damage report of trees down in Prospect Heights and Palatine. In Prospect Heights a tree fell on a 2001 white Honda in the 800 block of Piper Lane at the Country Pine Apartments.
Utility poles are also reported down (address developing) with a leaning pole at Willow Road and Wheeling Road — on the east side of Wheeling Road.
Palatine police responded to a road hazard for a large tree branch down in the right lane of southbound Quentin Road, just north of Palatine Road. Friday morning police discovered a large tree down in the 100 block of South
Schaumburg police and firefighters/paramedics responded to a downed power line at Plum Grove Road and Lakeland. Com Ed declared a 60 minute ETA to begin repairs.
Power line downs about 6:21 a.m. Friday at Nicholas Boulevard and Greenleaf with some land blockage and/or road closures in the area. Two hour ETA from Com Ed.
About 7:00 p.m. winds increased to about 20 mph with gusts to 44 mph.
