Thieves get away on motorcycles inside a London shopping mall after robbing a jewelry store.
London police have released a security video from the Brent Cross shopping center that shows six offenders on three motorcycles robbing a jewelry store in the London mall. The crime is reported to have occurred on Tuesday about 10:15 a.m.
One of the offenders threatened shoppers with an ax, as they smashed the display windows of the Fraser Hart store and removed jewelry and watches worth and estimated $3.2 million.
None of the bikes had license plates. They were found abandoned at a nearby golf course on Ashley Walk in Mill Hill with “team numbers” on each bike.
A similar attack occurred Wednesday with ax-wielding men on motorcycles robbing the Albemarle & Bond Pawnbrokers store in northwest London.
Scotland Yard is urging citizens with any information to call the Flying Squad on 020 8358 1751 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
The Flying Squad is a branch of the Specialist Crime & Operations section of London’s Metropolitan Police Service. The Flying Squad investigates commercial armed robberies, and works on the prevention and investigation of other serious armed crime.
