CCTV Video Surveillance captures explosion and shockwave that killed three firefighters and destroyed fire vehicles.
A gas tanker that exploded killing three firefighters in central China on Saturday was still burning a day later, according to a Chinese state television report on Sunday. The tanker overturned on Saturday morning on the Changde-Jishou Expressway in Huaihua City, in the Yunling county area of Hunan Province. The firefighters were killed when the tanker carrying liquified natural gas exploded after they had arrived on the scene of a rollover tanker truck. Surveillance footage shows the tanker lying at the side of the road next to a tunnel entrance, with several fire engines parked nearby. In the CCTV surveillance video there is a sudden explosion, sending a huge cloud of white smoke surging down the highway. Three firefighters, and two other workers were killed and two fire trucks were destroyed.
