A rash of at least five burglaries hit north central Arlington Heights and south central Arlington Heights overnight between 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2012 and 6:00 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2012.
In the 1100 block of North Beverly Lane, residents discovered their unlocked black 2006 Chevy Trailblazer was burglarized — missing two fishing rods ($100 each) and a tackle box containing fishing lures ($100).
In the 1100 block of North Hickory Avenue residents discovered their unlocked BMW 330i was burglarized and missing a Garmin GPS ($150) and $2 in change.
In the 2300 block of East Miner Street, residents discovered their unlocked Chevy Tahoe was burglarized and missing a set of six work keys from the glove compartment.
In the 600 block of South Kaspar Avenue, residents discovered two vehicles were burglarized — an unlocked gray 2012 Buick Lacrosse and an unlocked black 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix. A cash amount of $30 was missing from the Pontiac.
In the 700 block of South Kaspar Avenue, residents discovered their blue 2001 Buick Park Avenue was burglarized and missing a black “Kenneth Cole” briefcase ($180). Also missing were items inside the briefcase — a black 32 GB Apple iPod ($300), a personal checkbook, and computer accessories ($150).
