UPDATE: Schaumburg police report that no evidence of shots fired were discovered at the scene where a person reported two rounds were fired on East Wise Road. No bullet damage and no bullet casings were discovered after a report of two shots fire during a domestic dispute. No gunshot wounds were reported at area hospitals, according to followup investigative work reported by police.
Schaumburg police responded about 4:47 PM Tuesday to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of East Wise Road. POLICE SEARCHING FOR MALE/BLACK SUBJECT ON FOOT AND BLACK MAZDA WITH FEMALE DRIVER AFTER TWO ROUND FIRED BY MALE/BLACK SUBJECT.
Police received a report that a man fire two shots from a gun while standing in front of a house.
The offender was described as a male/black subject mid-20’s tall with an average build, wearing red jacket, black pants and a black hat. The offender was last seen running northbound on Summit Drive after arguing with a female in a black Mazda. The black Mazda was last seen heading westbound toward Roselle Road.
Police set up a perimeter and temporarily block traffic on Wise Road. Police also conducted a canvas of the neighborhood — going door-to-door to ask neighbors if they saw anything and to make sure neighbors nearby were safe.
During investigation of the shots fired incident, police discovered that a family in the area is looking for a missing female teen, wearing a pink tied dye T-shirt — probably unrelated to the shots fired call. The missing female is described as 5’2″ 110 LBS wearing a pink tie dye shirt and possibly not wearing any shoes.
