Prospect Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:03 PM Tuesday responded to a battery in the 800 block of East Old Willow Road. Police received a report that a victim was beaten by five offenders with baseball bats. One of the offenders was wearing red and black and may have been known by a witness or the victim. The other subjects were wearing blue and white.
Prospect Heights police were on the scene within two minutes, but the victim — reported to be a male/Hispanic teen bleeding from the face — left the area.
Prospect Heights police were investigating about 4:02 and following.
