People with type 1 or type 2 diabetes are keenly aware of how important it is to routinely monitor their diabetic condition and to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. However, for many men and women, properly managing diabetes is easier said than done. That’s why diabetes experts from Northwest Community Healthcare’s (NCH) Medical Group will lead a free community health seminar on how to take control of diabetes and the role endocrinologists play in diabetic health management.
The NCH Medical Group’s free diabetes seminar will be held Thursday, Oct. 11, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Northwest Community Hospital’s auditorium, located at 800 West Central Road in Arlington Heights. NCH Medical Group Endocrinologists Drs. Maria Justina B. Villano and Dipal Chokshi Shah will answer questions and offer guidance for those facing difficulties in managing their diabetes. These physician specialists also will review the types of diabetes, available medications, how to treat complications, and what to expect during a visit with an endocrinologist.
To sign up for this free seminar about diabetes, call NCH HealthConnection at 847.618.4YOU (4968) or visit nchmedicalgoup.com.
