Rolling Meadows police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:38 PM Thursday to a house fire 3406 Brookmeade Drive. Firefighters received a report that the resident was unable to extinguish a kitchen fire. Firefighters reported smoke showing upon arrival. The fire was extinguished by firefighters by about 8:46 p.m.
Arlington Heights and Palatine assisted Rolling Meadows firefighters.
