Arlington Heights police responded about 1:53 Thursday, August 30, 2012 to a report of a retail theft suspect that was ‘struggling” and then calm in the loss prevention office at Target, 1700 East Rand Road.
Police report that Kathleen Cromar, 56, of Palatine was observed by a loss prevention observer placing numerous items into a cart and shopping bag before leaving the store without paying for the merchandise. The combined value of the items taken was $176.49; and included a bath rug, knife set, bed trays, hand towels and various bathroom items.
Kathy Cromar was charged with Felony Retail Theft, and her vehicle was towed to a police holding area. The suspect is reported by police to be on probation for a prior retail theft.
On October 12, 2012, Kathleen A. Cromar was arrested about 5:27 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 after she allegedly took two pairs of slacks and a pair of shoes valued at $153 from Kohl’s, 800 West Dundee Road.
Suspects are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
