Whoah! Whoops! Minutes after buying the new Apple iPhone 5 at Chicago’s Michigan Avenue Apple Store, a man dropped his new phone on his way out the door. The Apple iPhone survived.
Word on the street and from is from a teardown shows that cracked screens will be easier to repair.

In reference to escalator video. Second one looks real.
I was there and saw it happen. This happened at 8:30 in the morning and he was one of the first customers to get the new iPhone. As he was walking out of the store there were about 10 television cameras. He was starting to raise his arms in celebration when it slipped out of his hands.
