Elk Grove Village police responded about 4:24:55 AM Saturday of an armed robbery at the Beaumont Inn, 2881 Touhy Avenue. Police received a report that the offender was a male of unknown race. The offender’s face was covered with a gray hoodie and a balck scarf. Police arrived on the scene within a minute.
The victim, who is an employee at the hotel, was hit in the head with a gun. The scene was reported secure by 4:27 a.m. Firefighter/paramedics were called to the scene.
Witnesses reported a green Astro van driving around the lot before the robbery, but there is no confirmation that the van was related to the armed robbery.
