Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:30 PM Monday to a report of a car vs. building crash at Belltone Hearing Care Center in the 1000 block of South Roselle Road. Firefighter/paramedics received a report that an elderly man was pulled from the car after it was driven all the way inside of a building.
No injuries were reported, but one woman sitting behind a reception desk was trapped. Firefighters pulled back the reception desk to free the woman inside the building.
Firefighters check all involved people, and neither the male driver or a female passenger in the car were injured.
The Village of Schaumburg Building Department was immediately called to the scene. Major damage occurred to the front of the building. Area checked and secured for stability, and a boardup service was requested to respond to the scene.
