PALATINE, IL – Northwestern suburban residents are being asked to bring out any gently-used or outdated items for an August 11 recycling event to be hosted by State Sen. Matt Murphy (R-Palatine) and State Rep. Tom Morrison (R-Palatine).
The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Palatine Centre Parking Lot off of Northwest Highway, between Benton Avenue and Plum Grove Road, located at 17 E Northwest Hwy, Palatine 60067.
Several area non-profit organizations and recycling firms will be accepting donations or items meant for disposal. On-hand will be W.I.N.G.S Program, Habitat for Humanity, the Palatine American Legion Post 690 and other organizations.
Household items, gently-used clothing, electronics, building supplies, American Flags and CFL light bulbs are just a few of the acceptable items being collected. For a specific list, please visit www.SenatorMattMurphy.com. Items not being accepted are also listed.
