Mount Prospect police responded about 12:33 PM Monday to an armed robbery in progress at or near the Popeyes Chicken, 1790 West Algonquin Road. Police were in a foot pursuit with a man described as a male/white wearing a gray tank top, white shorts and gym from Popeyes, behind the Supermercado and into a Laundromat. The suspect was in custody by about 12:39 p.m. There are possibly more than one suspect in custody.
