Arlington Heights residents of all ages enjoyed the ‘Picnic in the Park’ event at North School Park on Friday, June 8, 2012.

The picnic event from 11:30 am-2:30 pm was a kickoff for summer with ideal weather.

Events included …

Soccer goal kicks
Duck grab
Moonwalks and inflatable slide
Balloon sculptures
Face painting

The Arlington Heights Memorial Library Bookmobile was also on-site carrying a wide variety of the latest materials for all ages such as picture books and puzzles.

Residents, friends and family brought their own picnic lunch or bought lunch from a food vendor.

Some people picked up a free smoothie and meal compliments of Tropical Smoothies Cafe of Arlington Heights.

2012 entertainment included:

Creative Music Play With Scribble Monster (11:30 am – 12:30 pm)
