Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:56 a.m. Friday to a crash with at least one person trapped at Quentin Road and Euclid Avenue. Emergency responders received a report of a three-car crash with heavy damage. Firefighters reported one person trapped in the car with life-threatening trauma and others injured, but out of the vehicles. One victim was transported to Northwest Community Hospital. Two other victims refused paramedic transportation to the hospital.
Euclid Avenue is blocked from Quentin Road to Roselle Road. Police are advising motorists to use Algonquin Road and Roselle Road. Southbound Quentin Road and the southbound Quentin Road lane to westbound Euclid Avenue was open during accident investigation.
Rolling Meadows firefighter/paramedics assisted Palatine firefighter/paramedics at the scene.
Accident investigators were on the scene and re-opened all lanes of Euclid Avenue about 10:50 a.m. Friday.
