Hoffman Estates received report about 5:30 PM Sunday of an armed robbery at Jewel-Osco, 1485 Palatine Road, Hoffman Estates. Police received a report that the suspect put a gun to the victim’s head.
The male subject was described as wearing a black shirt and cargo pants. No confirmation whether the armed robbery occurred to a customer at the Jewel-Osco or to the actual Jewel-Osco store.
There was police activity in the area as police officers are forming a perimeter and searching for the suspect.
Bradwell Road was blocked at Cheviot Drive and at Regalia Drive. Police were also in the area of Chambers Drive near Bradwell Road, north of Palatine Road.
The suspect was in custody by 5:54 PM Sunday.
Palatine police and Inverness police assisted Hoffman Estates police.
