UPDATE: Police found the body of Joseph Damato first. Next the body of Julianne Damato was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the second-floor master bedroom. Joseph Damato had a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Barrington Hills police responded Wednesday night to a home in the 0-99 block of Lakeview Lane to the scene of an apparent murder-suicide.
The victims were identified as Joseph Damato, 56, and Julianne Damato, 47, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. The crime scene is located in a neighborhood of luxury estate homes on Keene Lake and Heather Lake, just north of Cook County Crabtree Preserve. Police are investigating and an autopsy was scheduled for Thursday morning.
