Memorial Day 2012 (May 28, 2012) is just 6 weeks away. This year marks the first ever Memorial Day Benefit Concert at the Metropolis Theater in Arlington Heights.
The concert is a special Memorial Day salute to veterans featuring nationally acclaimed jazz singer Tammy McCann accompanied by a great 18 piece Big Band – the Reunion Jazz Orchestra (www.rjojazz.org) . Tammy will be performing classic World War II era songs. Between songs, we’ll recognize Arlington’s Fallen Heroes and the sacrifice they made for our Freedoms. This patriotic event is the perfect way to honor all who serve our country.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Veterans Memorial Park Fund in Arlington Heights.
Peggy Kinnane’s Irish Restaurant and Pub (www.peggykinnanes.com) is offering a special dinner package for concert goers. Peggy’s is located across the street from Metropolis. Talk with the Metropolis Box Office for details.
