James A. Gosnell Stabbed to Death at Apartment on Georgia Ct, Schaumburg

Schaumburg police responded about 10:12 p.m. Friday to a report of a man stabbed in the 1800 block of Georgia Court. Police received a report that a man was stabbed 5-10 times.

The victim was transported to Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. The victim has been identified as James A. Gosnell, 31, and police have reported that the victim died as a result of a homicide that occurred in the 1800 block of Georgia Court in Schaumburg.

Three adults were transported to Schaumburg Police Department Headquarters for investigation. At this time police do not believe an offender is at large, or that there is any risk to the neighborhood or the general public.

The Major Case Assistance Team (MCAT) Forensics Unit and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office are assisting Schaumburg Police Department.
