Arlington Heights police responded about 12:55 p.m. Friday to a report of a residential burglary in the 100 block of North Forrest Avenue. Police received a report that a resident arrived home to find a window broken and signs of a burglary. The victim waited outside before the police arrived to check the house.
Police on the scene called for a forensics unit to respond for a confirmed burglary. The crime is reported to have occurred between about 7:00 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. Friday.
An unknown offender or offenders cut a screen on the exterior “Florida Room” door, broke a pane of glass, reached in to unlock the double key deadbolt, as the resident left the key in the lock. Offender(s) entered the home, searched through two bedrooms and removed several pairs of silver earrings, a silver Coach watch, a gold Rolex watch, and several gold rings.
