Arlington Heights police responded about 7:25 a.m. Saturday to a report of a burglary to vehicle that just occurred at Empire Beauty School, 264 West Rand Road. Police received a report that a man just discovered an offender inside his vehicle. The victim said he confronted the offender, and the offender said he needed help. The offender then fled in the parking lot toward Teddy’s Good Food. The victim lost sight of the offender about 7:28 a.m. Saturday.
The offender was described as a male/white, 35-years-old, 5’8″ wearing glasses, black hair/balding, a mustache gray ski jacket and tan pants.
Several police units responded to the scene. Police were out with the offender at the strip mall behind Burlington Coat factory about 7:38 a.m. The suspect was positively identified, and transported to Arlington Heights Police Department in custody.
