.STRONG AND GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS ARE DEVELOPING THIS MORNING
AHEAD OF A DEEP LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TRANSITIONING THROUGH THE
UPPER MIDWEST. WINDS WILL DIMINISH THIS EVENING AS THE LOW
PRESSURE FILLS AND CONTINUES TO MOVE EAST AWAY FROM THE REGION.

ADVISORY…WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING.
* TIMING…WINDS WILL INCREASE THROUGH THE MORNING…REACHING
ADVISORY CRITERIA BY LATE THIS MORNING AND LASTING THROUGH THE
EARLY EVENING HOURS.
* WINDS…SUSTAINED WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH
ARE EXPECTED.
* IMPACTS…STRONG WINDS MAY CAUSE SMALL LIMBS AND TWIGS TO
BREAK FROM TREES. WEAK OR OLD STRUCTURES MAY SUSTAIN MINOR
DAMAGE AND A FEW LOOSE SHINGLES MAY BE REMOVED FROM HOUSES.
LOOSE OBJECTS WILL BE BLOWN AROUND. THESE STRONG WINDS WILL
ALSO MAKE DRIVING HAZARDOUS…PARTICULARLY FOR HIGH PROFILE
VEHICLES.

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 TO 39 MPH…OR
GUSTS BETWEEN 45 AND 57 MPH…ARE LIKELY. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN
CAUSE MINOR PROPERTY DAMAGE UNLESS PRECAUTIONS ARE TAKEN. DRIVING
MAY BE DIFFICULT…ESPECIALLY IN HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. MOTORISTS
SHOULD BE ALERT AND USE CAUTION.
