Arlington Heights police responded about 10:43 p.m. Saturday to a report of a burglary that might have just occurred in the 2000 block of Oakwood Drive. Police searched the house to clear it for the presence of an offender or offenders, and found the house to be clear. Police immediately called for an evidence technician to the scene.
An unknown offender or offenders appear to have forced open the front door using their body weight. While inside the offenders searched through several rooms including the master bedroom where only the “good” jewelry (unknown value) was removed. Nothing appeared to be missing from the other rooms. The offender or offenders left through the rear patio door.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Saturday, February 11, 2012 between 3:30 p.m. and 10:41 p.m.

The residential burglary was located nar the intersection of Oak Wood Drive and Walden Lane, just south of Lake Arlington.
