Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:42 p.m. Tuesday to a report of minivan that crashed into the lobby of the Schaumburg Township Library, 130 South Roselle Road. Police and firefighters arrived and report that a minivan was in the lobby of the library.
Early report was that an elderly couple were in the minivan. No extrication and Schaumburg Fire Department Truck 53 was returned by 4:50 p.m. The male driver and a female passenger had minor injuries, and were transported to Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
Firefighters called for at least 20 feet — length of wood — for board-up from a board-up service. Front door glass and window glass panels were knocked out. A tow truck was called to immediately respond to the west side of the building .
