Connor Johnson, who is battling a rare form of brain cancer, was surprised with a neighborhood parade of fire engines from a variety of fire departments from Lake County. He had recently been given some fire gear from Lincolnshire-Riverwood Fire Protection District, and was told to wear the gear Monday night.
Then came the parade, and a ride in the officer’s seat of fire engine, thanks to the The Make-A-Wish Foundation.
