UPDATE: Christopher Bogucki, 19, of Arlington Heights was reported killed in a large, busy intersection in Elk Grove Village Wednesday night.
Elk Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:11 p.m. to a report of a pedestrian hit by two vehicles on northbound Busse Road, south of Oakton. Police arrived first to find a victim in the left turn lane of northbound Busse Road, just south of Oakton.
Firefighter/paramedics called for addition help for Advanced Life Support for the victim due to life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
Police initially received a report that two vehicles might have hit the pedestrian. An early report had a first vehicle fleeing the scene, and a second vehicle striking stopped. No description was available for the offending vehicle as of 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, and early Thursday morning the case is apparently not being investigated as a hit-and-run.
Northbound Busse Road was closed during rescue and was expected to be closed for a prolonged time period for accident investigation. Northbound and southbound lanes of Busse road were opened at about 10:54 p.m. with investigation ongoing.
