New snowfall for Chicagoland area and Arlington Heights overnight, Thursday February 23, 2012 to Friday, February 24, 2012
On grassy areas, 7.0 inches of snow fell in Arlington Heights from about 2:30 p.m. Thursday until 7:00 a.m. Friday. The event is not finished, and the trailing edge of precipitation indicated on radar is between Rockford and the Mississippi River. The snow is wet and heavy, good packing for snowmen and snowballs. Winter Weather Advisory extended to noon Friday, February 24, 2012.
