Arlington Heights police received a report of criminal damage to vehicle in a parking lot in the 1200 block of East Northwest Highway. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders smashed the left rear tail light on a green 1995 Mercury Sable ES, causing about $50 damage.
The crime is reported to have occurred between January 21, 2012 at 9:00 p.m. and January 22, 2012 at 12:05 p.m.
