Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:12 am. Tuesday to a report of a gas main break at 320 East Northwest Highway. Emergency responders received a report that a construction crew hit a gas line with an auger, and that heavy gas flow was leaking from the gas main.
The gas leak was stopped about 9:08 a.m. Tuesday.
