Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:08 p.m. Wednesday to Barrington Road south of Schaumburg Road to a report of woman hit by a car. Police received a report that a woman was down in the middle of the road on the island. Police were first on the scene and reported possibly minor injuries.
Southbound Barrington Road was blocked by police at Schaumburg Road during rescue.
