Palatine police received a report about 11:59 p.m. Wednesday of a vehicle burglary near Lamplighter Inn Tavern & Grille, 60 North Bothwell Street. Police received a report that a black Mercury Mountaineer was burglarized while parked in the rear lot near the railroad tracks. The crime is reported to have occurred Wednesday between 11:25 p.m. and just before midnight.
