Arlington Heights police responded about 9:16 p.m. Sunday to a report of two shoplifters at Jewel-Osco, 1860 South Arlington Heights Road. Police received a report that two male/black subjects fled in a two-door black BMW with no license plates on the vehicle. The vehicle was last seen headed westbound on Golf Road. Loss prevention reported that the driver of the BMW might have been intoxicated.
Rolling Meadows police stopped the vehicle in the 3000 block of West Algonquin Road in Rolling Meadows at the Marathon gas station. Rolling Meadows police had one male in custody. No word on charges.
At least one bottle of Grey Goose was recovered with the suspects. Jewel-Osco also had security images of the incident.
