Schaumburg police responded about 8:25 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a theft at Nordstrom, 6 Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg. Police received a report that a male/white subject stole jewelry and fled through the south door on the first floor. Early report indicated the jewelry was worth $8,000. Schaumburg police are investigating.
While police were investigating, 9-1-1 received a call from Nordstrom loss control regarding a pursuit of another theft suspect on the parking deck. The subject turned out to be suspect in a theft of the tips jar at Surf City Squeeze. The male/black suspect about 19-years-old was apprehended in the parking lot by Schaumburg police and possibly other loss control personnel.
