Elk Grove Village police received a report about 6:25 p.m. Saturday of a theft at the Subway sandwich restaurant, 2801 Touhy Avenue. Police received a report that a backpack with a laptop and a passport was stolen at the restaurant.
Surveillance video captured the offender taking the backpack.
