A Eurocopter AS350 helicopter from Sundance Helicopters with passengers on a tour over Hoover Dam near Las Vegas crashed Wednesday evening about 5:00 p.m. The pilot and all four passengers are reported killed, according to the National Park Service.
The helicopter crash occurred 4.5 miles west of Southern Nevada Water Authority in the Lake Mead Recreational Park, east of Las Vegas.
Sundance Helicopters reports the aircraft was on a tour from the airport to the Hoover Dam and back. The company’s website said it operated a fleet of 23 helicopters and operates tours of the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas with prices ranging from $479 to $611.
