Prospect Heights police responded about 3:50 a.m. Thursday to a report of a hit-and-run incident in the 600 block of Piper Lane. Police received a report that a man was down in the street and bleeding from the mouth. The man was possibly intentionally run over by a female driving a burgundy Dodge Stratus. A Hispanic/English language barrier existed during the call.
The offending vehicle was described as a red Dodge Intrepid — possibly driven by the victim’s girlfriend.
Prospect Heights police are investigating.
