Schaumburg police responded about 11:46 a.m. Monday to an armed robber at the Bank of America, 800 East Higgins Road. Police received a report that a woman was robbed in the parking lot. A blue bank bag that the female victim was carrying was taken while she was robbed at gunpoint.
The offender was described as male in his 20’s, dark-skinned — unsure if he was Hispanic or African-American. The offender was wearing a black mask and a black coat. He was armed with a silver or chrome long-barreled handgun — possibly semi-automatic.
The offender fled in a vehicle is described as black sports car — possibly a Chevrolet or Pontiac. The license plate registration is reported to begin with XPA. Direction of travel is reported to be Plum Grove Road unknown direction.
