Elk Grove Village police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:25 p.m. Tuesday to a stove fire at at an apartment at 675 Grove. Firefighters received a report that oil was burning on a stove. First firefighters on the scene reported smoke showing.
Fire was reported extinguished by 2:32 p.m.Firefighters immediately worked to ventilate the apartment building of smoke and gases.
