Arlington Heights police responded about 8:00 p.m. Thursday to report of a second retail theft attempt of the evening at Jewel-Osco, 1860 South Arlington Heights Road. Police received a report that Jewel-Osco security personnel were in foot pursuit with two male/black suspects. The two retail theft suspects attempted to leave the store with a grocery cart full of products, and when pursued by security, left the grocery cart and continued to run across Arlington Heights Road toward the Cardio-Med building, 1675 South Arlington Heights Road.
Jewel-Osco security terminated their pursuit of the suspects.
From video surveillance review, at least one of the suspects was described as 19-20 years-old, male/black or male/Hispanic, wearing a white jacket, with a black shirt, possibly wearing white-rimmed glasses.
