During a campaign event in Manchester, New Hampshire Tuesday, President Barack Obama had to interrupt his remarks as protesters began chanting.
Mic Check …
Starting with the trademark human microphone: ‘Mic Check’, Occupy Wall Street protesters interrupted a speech by Barack Obama at Central High School in Manchester, New Hampshire.
President Barack Obama took it in stride, and smiled through the protest, saying: “No, it’s OK,” as other parts of the crowd sought to drown out the protesters by chanting “Obama” and “Yes We Can.”
In late September Obama was heckled at a fundraiser at the House of Blues in West Hollywood by a lone heckler from the front row that called him the Antichrist.
As security guards and police dragged the man out, the crowd chanted, “Four more years! Four more years!” and the protester yelled, “Jesus Christ is God, Barack Obama is the Antichrist!”
Someone also threw a jacket on stage. Obama said, “I agree Jesus Christ is the Lord,” then expressed concern about the jacket thrown onto the stage.
“Is that his jacket?” Obama asked. “Make sure he gets his jacket.”
