Chicago firefighters and police responded about 3:40 p.m. to a report of a locomotive fire near 63nd Street and the Dan Ryan Expressway.
A tower ladder truck was extended up to the bridge and train. Expressway lanes were blocked during firefighter operations.
A Level I Hazmat was requested about 3:50 p.m. at 63rd and Wentworth for the train fire. The Hazmat Level I was secured at about 4:00 p.m. Friday.

The red Line platform was also evacuated, but was reopened a short time later.
