An estimated 17 tons of marijuana were seized when authorities discovered a major cross-border drug tunnel between San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico.
Law enforcement authorities report they discovered one of the most significant smuggling tunnels ever discovered between San Diego, California and Tijuana, Mexico.
The tunnel is about four feet tall and three feet wide is equipped with lighting and a ventilation system. The tunnel, which was about 400 yard long, was discovered Tuesday.
Owners proceeds were coded by labels of legal consumer products, such as Sprite, Captain America, and bud Light. Two suspects have been arrested and could be sentenced to life in prison.
